Have you ever been around people who smoke? When you leave their presence do they smell like you or do you smell like them? That all depends on who was smoking doesn't it? The same applies with choosing to run with the wicked. Sin like sickness is contagious. No one ever catches another's health. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says it so very well, "Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits."[1] We cannot hang around the sty without smelling like its residence, especially if you are a leader or want to be a leader. Before our endeavors can be successfully accomplished, we must surround ourselves with godly people. Success gained with any other will be at best temporal. Who are your closest advisors, associates and friends? You just may need to do some social and association house cleaning.
