Title

Leading And Receiving

Scripture
Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he himself will fall into his own pit; but the blameless will inherit good.
(Proverbs 28:10)
Devotional
Whether we like it or not or whether we intend to or not, we lead people. If you are a parent you lead your children and your home. If you are in business you lead those under your authority. Every one leads someone. The question is, "Where are you leading them?" If you walk in godly integrity and deal honestly you will lead them well and successfully. However, if we deal with those whom we lead deceitfully, we will be held responsible for their failure as well as our own. We are to be blameless in our leading and dealing with others. We do so by meaning what we say and saying what we mean. We are to deal with others, as we would have them deal with us. We are to be fair, equitable and considerate. We are not to coerce, but appeal. In so doing, we will lead the upright in the path they are to go and inherit good ourselves.
