Title

The Answer Is At Hand

Scripture
Thus says the Lord, “None of My words will be postponed, but the word which I speak will be done.”
(Ezekiel 12:28)
Devotional
It is easy to believe God for that which is very distant. It is quite another thing to believe Him for that which is at hand. What is it that you need from the Lord now? Let me challenge you to ask Him for it. Call on Him in the time of trouble. Let Him know the desires of your heart. Be honest with God. Never forget, “He cares for you.” If the answer you need does not come, ask Him why. With humility and meekness, remind Him of His promises. Put your faith to the test. Listen for His answer. Look for His direction; and begin to thank Him for Your request. Always remember however, He will not violate His Word. Consider 2 Corinthians 1:20, “All the promises of God in Him (Christ) are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” The key is, “To the glory of God.” Dare to believe God. Dare to trust Him and dare to be obedient to His commands.

Thought For The Day
“There’s no knowing what God can do nor yet what best of reasons he has for not doing it sooner! When we think He’s letting the time go by and doing nothing, He may just be doing all things.” George MacDonald, (1824-1905), Scottish minister who greatly influenced C. S. Lewis.
