Title

Show Us Your Glory

Scripture
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle; The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory.
(Psalm 24:8&10)
Devotional
The Hebrew word for glory is kabhod and in the Greek doxa. Both come with the connotation of having an immeasurable abundance of wealth, treasures, honor, dignity, splendor, brightness, majesty, attributes, and perfections. To see God’s glory is hence to see Him for who He is: the Lord God almighty, the Creator of the universe, and the perfection of holiness. His glory is physically, mentally, and emotionally indescribable in this present realm.
But there will be a day when we see Him face to face; then we shall behold Him in all His majesty and fathom the glorious magnificence of His person. Then we shall not only see His glory, but also know and experience it. “For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.”(1) Let us implore the Lord God as Moses implored Him, “Please, show me Your glory.”(2)
