Title

The Burden-Bearer

Scripture
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
(1 Peter 5:7)
Devotional
What burdens are you carrying? What worries do you have? You do not have to bear them alone. As a matter of fact, you do not have to bear many of them at all.
We do not have to carry burdens that we cannot change. There are situations in life that we have absolutely no control over. We cannot change them, fix them or make them better by worrying or fretting. Therefore, there is only one thing to do with them and that is to give them to Christ. You know the saying, “Let go, and let God.”
Now, there are things we can change. Nevertheless, we may not be able to change them alone. Again, cast them upon the Lord. He will never leave you to a burden that you cannot handle. He will either instruct you on how to lift it, help you lift it, or lift it for you. He will give you exactly what you need. He is faithful that way. You can trust Him. He cares for you.

Defining: “Casting your burdens on the Lord,” is to seek His will and way for your life. It is to trust Him at His Word, by faith do right regardless of the consequences, heeding His counsel, following His lead, obeying Him according to you understanding.

Referencing: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ,” Galatians 6:1, “But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load,” Galatians 6:5-6.

Applying: Remember God has equipped you to bare a certain amount of the load of life. You can do it. Likewise, He has established His kingdom for the sake of us coming along side one another when the burden is too heavy to bear alone. That is why He says, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,” Matthew 11:29.
