It Takes Worship

Scripture
O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
(Psalm 108:1)
Devotional
To be steadfast in the faith is to be a true worshipper of God. I am convinced of two pertinent things: First of all, the key to keeping the faith is praise and worship. Secondly, the root of sin is a failure to worship. I am not talking about a style of worship, but an attitude of worship. To be a worshipper is to express your love and gratitude for God by exalting Him above all else. Psalm 34:1 says it so wonderfully, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”(1) Praising people are thankful people and thankful people are happy people. Think about it and put it to the test. Start at your church: enter into the worship and praise with all you have. Meditate on the words and lift them directly to the Lord. Likewise, praise and worship Him alone, while driving in your car or working in your home. As the last line of the last psalm says, “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!”(2)
