Title

God’s Preservation

Scripture
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forever.
(Psalm 121:8)
Devotional
God protects the obedient action of His people. He does not protect disobedience nor laziness. He cannot. Disobedience and laziness are against His nature. God preserves action, not inaction. He preserves those who are His, those who look to Him for help. The sedimentary ways of man cannot be preserved. They are the ways of deterioration. Stagnation atrophies the body, soul and spirit of man. The preservation of inactivity would be against the laws of God. Therefore, burn the candle. Get going and keep coming. John’s gospel says it this way, “I must work the work of Him who sent Me while it is day, the night is coming when no one can work.” The preservation of God is not an embalming. It is a preservation of youthfulness. It brings a youthful vitality. It allow us to “Run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint.”
