Title

Dreams Work

Scripture
He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough!
(Proverbs 28:19)
Devotional
The best of dreams void of work are at best frivolous. They are but mere passing fantasies. There are few things more obnoxious than “workless” dreamers. It often seems as if people are afraid of their dreams coming true. If they do come true, then they have to live up to that which they have been only talking about. There are dream makers and there are dream builders. One claims it the other does it. Some folks dream about heaven, while others prepare for it. Just as faith without works is dead being alone, dreams without work are likewise dead without works. I am all for dreamers. God is for dreamers. Remember faithful Abraham, Joseph, who was called the dreamer, and John and his revelation? These men were dreamers. They were dreamers who put work to their words. They walked in obedience to what they knew. Therefore, dare to dream great dreams, and dare to work your dreams.
