Title

Keep your eyes on the Road

Scripture
And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?",
(Matthew 14:31)
Devotional
We, like Peter, often respond with impulsive faith, but when reality sets in we succumb to our surroundings and sink. Peter saw Jesus walking on the water and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."[14] Jesus said, "Come." As long as Peter kept His eyes on Jesus he walked on the water, as soon as he took his eyes off of his source and purpose, he immediately began to sink. Nothing has changed. No matter what our endeavors, if we take our eyes of our source and focus on the problems surrounding us we too will sink in those endeavors. Our problems are like potholes in the road, if we focus on them, we surely will run into them. Therefore let us always look in the direction we wish to travel and keep our eyes on our source and purpose. We will not have to hear, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
