Which Wisdom?

Scripture
Whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord; but he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death.
(Proverbs 8:35-36)
Devotional
To find true wisdom is to find Christ. To find Christ is to find true wisdom. Without Him the wisest of the wise are fools when it comes to life and eternity. To forsake Christ is to likewise forsake wisdom, and embrace death. Now to simply have Christ in your life, by proclaiming Him to be your Savior is insufficient at best. He must be obeyed to experience the truth of His wisdom. His favor is found in obedience. To sin against Him is to disobey Him. The parallel of our relationship to Christ and wisdom is unparallel in any other realm. As the message of the cross is foolishness to the world;[1] "The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God."[2] To embrace the cross is wisdom and life, to reject it is foolishness and death. Therefore are you choosing the wisdom of God's Word or the wisdom of the world? Each is foolish to the other, but one brings life and the other death.
