An Inner Circle Disciple

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately...

Devotional
Those who accomplish greatness do so because they boldly ask what others are afraid to ask. They are the ones who draw the close to leadership. When others are resting, these are inquiring. Peter, the bull in the china closet, James and John, the sons of thunder, and Andrew, the one who was always bringing someone to Christ,--these were men who were difference makers.  And of these two, Peter and John rose even higher:  John, the apostle whom Jesus loved, and Peter, the leader of the pack.  Learn from these men who changed the world.  Grasp their inquisitiveness.  Learn from their zeal and grow to their level of obedience.  When others are going with the crowd, go inquire privately.  Seek an audience with those who have achieved what you are seeking.  Ask questions, real questions.  Listen with an ear that leans toward obedience.  Make the sacrifice to become an inner circle disciple.
