Title

Childhood is Short Lived

Scripture
But Jesus called them to Him and said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God."
(Luke 18:16)
Devotional
We live in an age when childhood is short lived. Our young people are exposed to more of life than any time in history: From television to the Internet and from a promiscuous lifestyle to violence in our schools. There was a time that we endeavored to reach them during their collage and high school years. Unfortunately in many cases by the time they reach middle school, it is too late. They have already experienced an inordinate amount of a godless lifestyle. We have got to get the little children to Jesus. And there must be a concerted effort to do so. In our homes, churches and schools, godly character must be instilled at a very early age. It will never be too early, but it can certainly be too late. Get involved with every aspect of your children's lives from a very early age until they are on their own in adulthood. Let us get the children to Jesus before it is too late.
