Title

He Is Worthy To Be Praised

Scripture
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created.
(Psalm 148:5)
Devotional
Of whom does the psalmist speak? He speaks of the stars, the moon, the sun and all the heavens and earth. “He merely spoke and the heavens were created.”(1) This is the God we serve-the One who speaks the expanses of the heavens into existence. He is the Lord God Almighty, the Creator of the universe. If the stars and the things created are to praise Him, how much more should those who have been created in His image praise Him?
What greater purpose could we have been created for than to praise the One who is, who was, and who is to come? He is more than worthy of our praise. He is worthy to be praised in the good times as well as the froward times. He is worthy to be praised when we feel like praising Him as well as when we do not feel like praising Him. It is at these times we offer up the sacrifice of praise - for He is worthy to be praised. Praise the Lord!
