Title

Life's Storms

Scripture
When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.
(41435:25)
Devotional
When the storms of life come, and they will come, what is left will be determined by our character. The righteous may lose things, but his or her character will remain intact. It is not so with the wicked. The wicked will sacrifice character for things. Therefore never judge by physical loss. The storms of life are no respecter of persons. The righteous are able to say with Job, "Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him."[1] Wickedness says, "Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!"[2] Life's storms are never pleasant. They bring grief and sorrow to all, but how we weather these storms will determine how we live in the calm days of life. When these storms come, do your best to take shelter. Run to Christ as one would run to a storm cellar. Get under the shelter of His wings for there you will find refuge.[3]
