Title

The Word of God

Scripture
He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called the Word of God.
(Revelation 19:13)
Devotional
Here is the gospel message in a sentence. Here we have the blood of the Lamb and the Word of His testimony. Without the blood of Christ and the Word of Christ there is no salvation. God has revealed His will for us through His Word, the Bible. The Bible is not a book of directions; it is God’s divine will for His creation. It is the very nature and character of Christ. Every page is the quality of Christ. Every word is measured and applicable to all of eternity. Its width, depth and breadth are immeasurable. When we have the Word in us, we have God with us. It is here that Christ will never leave us nor forsake us. Therefore give careful attention to the Word of the Lord every day. Feast on it. Receive your nourishment from it. Love it. Obey it and cherish it. For His name is called the Word of God.
Thought For The Night
“The tools of ministry are the Word of God and prayer. The privilege of ministry is growth. The power of ministry is the Holy Spirit, and the model for ministry is Jesus Christ.” Warren W. Wiersbe and David W. Wiersbe, Making Sense of the Ministry (Baker Book House).

Applying: You most likely have been reading your Bible all year, maybe you are reading through it on a daily basis. Don’t stop. Read it every day and may I highly recommend that you read through it ever year until the Lord returns or He calls you home. May I also suggest that you get others to do the same.
