Title

The Snare Of Sin

Scripture
His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, and he is caught in the cords of his sin.
(Proverbs 5:22)
Devotional
Trouble follows the troubler. He may appear to get away with one offense, but will be caught in another. There is no such thing as "The perfect crime." It will always be found out in the planning, let alone the action. God knows not only our deeds and thoughts, but our propensities as well. As we are told in the book of Numbers, "Be sure your sin will find you out."[21] Let us not only repent of any iniquity that may be found in us, but let us likewise avoid wicked practitioners. For when they are caught in their wickedness you may be caught with them and have to pay the penalty as well. Sin is always a snare, a tangled web that inevitably catches its victims. Therefore avoid the wrong and do the good you know to do. Remember, "To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin."[22] Sin is a relentless snare.
