Title

Getting Up On the Right Side of Bed

Scripture
Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds.
(Psalm 149:5)
Devotional
What a command! “Let the saints be joyful.” There is not. There never was, nor will there ever be anyone with greater cause to rejoice than Christians--people who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Verse four tells us why, “For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.” This joy is to begin in the morning, “Let them sing aloud on their beds.” Herein is how you can consistently get up on the right side of the bed. Get up with a song in your heart and praise on your lips. Instead of singing only in the shower, try praising in the shower. Instead of listening to the morning talk show; listen to your favorite praise and worship. Instead of the morning paper, read the good news of the Word of God. Instead of mumbling to yourself, talk to the Creator. Do this and you will have cause to be joyful throughout the rest of your day.
Thought For The Night
