Title

Who We Are At Home

Scripture
She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.
(Proverbs 31:12)
Devotional
The characteristics of a wife as described in this thirty-first chapter of Proverbs are to be the model for every believer, the church, which is the bride of Christ. As a faithful wife does her husband good, the church is to be about the business of doing good to her Husband, the Lord Jesus Christ. It is for this reason that we are to see the home as the church in miniature and the church as the home to its fullest extent. For who we are at home is who we really are. From our words to our attitudes and from our demeanor to our level of familiarity, we are to be models of a faithful wife. Naturally, no one is able to do so more than a wife and a mother. As described in this the last chapter of the Proverbs, she is to exemplify the attitude of the body of Christ. This is the good she is to do all the days of her life. To do otherwise is to do evil.
