Title

The Right Road

Scripture
Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil.
(Proverbs 4:27)
Devotional
Throughout the book of Acts Christians are called people of "The Way."[1] Jesus called it the "Narrow way."[2] The "Way" is the "Government of God." It is His way of doing things. There will always be distractions on the road of life, enticements attempting to pull you of course. They will often appear as shortcuts to goals or a quick path to a dream. Nevertheless, as alluring as they may appear, they inevitably are roads leading to destruction. If you find yourself succumbing to the lure of a broad way, as quickly as possible, remove your foot and return to the right way. Here is what I know, God's way is always the right way. It always leads to prosperity. It always produces the right fruit. It always brings success, always! How do we know when we are off course? What are the danger signs? The first is a violated conscience. You just know that there is something wrong. The second is good counsel and the surest is the Word of God. Follow the signs and you'll reach your destination.
