Title

If You Invite Them They Will Come

Scripture
I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation.
(Romans 15:20)
Devotional
Eighty percent of new church members come from other churches. We for the most part do not build the kingdom of God we transfer it. Churches for many Christians are like fast food restaurants; they change with the newest burger. The hottest music, most novel preaching or children's ministry draws us. Instead of being servants we have become consumers. Instead of winning the lost, we desire to be won and catered-to. We need to change our thinking: Its not all about us, its all about Christ. It's all about winning the lost. There is no other reason to remain on the face of the earth for a believer than reaching the lost for Christ. Everything else a believer does can be better done in heaven. Sharing our faith can only be don on earth. Every one of us knows people who need the Lord. Every one of us can at the very least invite someone to church. As eighty-percent of new church members come from other churches, eighty-percent of your lost family and friends will attend with you if you ask them.
