Title

Life - Is a Gift of God

Scripture
Every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.
(Ecclesiastes 3:13)
Devotional
Have you ever noticed how many people fail to enjoy life? They work and do nothing but complain about their work, people and their lives. Happiness for them is always somewhere else. They never enjoy life's journey and only look for a destination they without effort hope to attain. How sad, how foolish. Life is a journey to be enjoyed—it is a gift of God. We must learn the difference between satisfaction and contentment. We are to be content wherever we are, but we are not to be satisfied until we get to our destination. Those who are satisfied with their lot don’t have a lot. Those who are content with their lot get a lot. Contentment is a state of mind and spirit. Satisfaction is a state of the flesh and soul. It is one thing to be satisfied with food, but quite another to be satisfied with life. Contentment moves forward; satisfaction stands still. Therefore, enjoy the good of your labor—it is a gift from God.
