Title

The Knowledge Of Wisdom

Scripture
My son, eat honey because it is good… So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul; if you have found it, there is a prospect…
(Proverbs 24:13-14)
Devotional
Consider the phrase, "The knowledge of wisdom." I believe it has several meanings, the first being that to know what wisdom is. The second is to know that you have it. The third is to increase it. When we do, it is as sweet to the soul as honey is to the taste. It has been said that wisdom is simply rightly applied knowledge. I think it may be a bit deeper than that. Knowledge implies that one has been taught. Wisdom does not necessarily come through teaching. It often comes by revelation or understanding. For example, have you ever known that something is not right without ever being taught that it was wrong? That just might be "The knowledge of wisdom." Wisdom sometimes appears as intuition or inclination. The two greatest sources of wisdom are found in God's Word and through His Spirit. When we find this wisdom we have a good prospect for the future.
