Title

Let Us Not Act Wickedly

Scripture
Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; do not plunder his resting place.
(Proverbs 24:15)
Devotional
Conniving, manipulating and the like are not to be part of our business, lifestyles or association. Anything short of being straightforward is to be avoided at all cost. To lie in wait like an outlaw is not fitting or godly. Whenever we desire to approach someone with an opportunity or a proposition, let us do so openly and honestly. Always tell the truth. Never defraud or deceive. Remember a partial truth is a whole lie. And a lie is like a snowball. The longer you roll it on the ground the bigger it gets. Do not make promises that cannot be kept or give expectations that cannot be achieved. To do so is to plunder the dwelling of the righteous, or at least the unsuspecting. Be honest. Keep your integrity and treat others as you would have them treat you. Anything short is wickedness. As Proverbs 11:21 says, "Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished."[1]
