Devotional
The unbeliever prays not knowing if there is a God who hears, so he prays repetitiously hoping that his recitation would somehow be heard by someone somewhere. Vainly he prays, repeating his mystic mantra or counting his sacred beads. We are not to be like them. We serve a God who knows. He knows what we need and when we need it. He knows our hurts and desires. He knows and understands our heartaches and distresses. He not only knows, He cares. You see, we simply can’t take God by surprise. God is never caught off guard. There is never panic in heaven. God’s knowledge of our needs frees us to pray openly and honestly. Thus we are to go to Him with all prayer and thanksgiving, praising and worshipping Him always. Never forget, God knows and most of all, He cares.
