Title

Listen To Your Face

Scripture
There is a generation
(Proverbs 30:13)
Devotional
The facial expression of pride and arrogance are described in our text. We've seen it in our youth, the rolling of the eyes and the tilting of the head. Isn't it amazing that expressions can be so universal? They define many cultures. In the east there is the swaging of the head, in the west the rolling of the eyes. There is a lot that can be said without words, and the Lord hears and understands them all. Give thought to the expressions you make. How often do you find yourself communicating what is on your heart thought your face? Think about your children. If you are sharing this devotion with them, just watch their facial expressions. If there is none, you may have a poker player on your hands. Learning to speak with our expressions is as if not more important than speaking with our voices. As a soft answer turns away wrath,[12] so does a tender look.
