Title

The Ways of the Wicked

Scripture
A worthless person, a wicked man, Walks with a perverse mouth… Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly…
(Proverbs 6:12-15)
Devotional
We should not only shun wickedness, we should avoid its characteristics. A worthless and wicked person is one whose motives are filled with deceit. He says one thing with his mouth and another with his eyes. He directs one way and walks another. His posture may be one of shyness, but his heart is teeming with arrogance. Like a pickpocket, he distracts with his actions to fulfill his deeds. No matter what his outward actions, there is perversity in his heart. His fruit is discord. He has no peace and produces none. He reins with intimidation and guilt. He is never content with what he has nor what you can do for him. These are the symptoms of a scoundrel. If you find these characteristics of wickedness in your life, flee from them. If you don’t, then suddenly you will be broken without remedy.
