Title

Pay Your Vows

Scripture
I will pay You my vows, which my lips have uttered and my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.
(Psalm 66:1314)
Devotional
If only we could keep the sincerity we have when we are in trouble. Trouble has a way of bringing out humility and promises. If we have gotten caught in a wrongdoing, we are quick to be sorry for our actions. Or is it that we are sorry for the result of our actions because of getting caught? It is during these times that we want to get right with God. So, we make promises to both God and man. And oftentimes God does deliver us out of our troubles. He does so because we have made Him a promise to change or never to do the wrong deed again. Have you ever been there? Have you ever asked God to save you from a troublesome situation? Has He? Did you keep your vow? Ecclesiastes says, “When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it. Better not to vow than to vow and not pay.” If you have vowed, pay your vow.
