Title

Following Christ’s Lead

Scripture
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
(Mark 10:45)
Devotional
The goal of God’s kingdom is that we would be transformed into the likeness of His Son.That likeness is found in and through a servant’s heart. Repeatedly, Christ directs, “If you want to be great in God’s kingdom, you must learn to be a servant of all.We are to learn from not only our Lord’s example, but from His commands. The choice isn’t shall I serve or shall I be served. The choice is shall I be obedient or shall I be disobedient? Serving is not an option to be rejected. It is not very difficult to figure whether you are a server or not. Do you serve? Are you a giver or a taker? Are you willing to let others be first? Here’s some of the fruit of serving: You will be loved by many. You will be content with what you have, and you will prosper. “That is not bad for a servant.”
