It is understood the ways of our youth are to be changed. Youth’s actions, deeds, thoughts and words are to be cleansed. The ways of the young are filled with learning, excitement and discovery. These are good and to be enjoyed. Nevertheless, youth’s foolishness must be amended. We cannot continue to live our lives playing. We are not to continue under the care and nurturing of our parents. We cannot remain childish in life. There is going to have to be a time that the youth become the heads of their own homes and families. The psalmist instructs that the ways of youth are to be cleansed by listening with an ear of obedience to the Word of the Lord. The young man and the young woman are to begin to live their lives according to the Manufacturer’s Handbook: the Bible. Search its pages. Study its precepts. Know its proverbs and parables. And above all cleanse your life by its power.
