Title

The Wise Investment Of Giving

Scripture
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…
(Luke 6:38)
Devotional
There is a great difference in giving and losing. This may seem obvious to you, but unfortunately for many people, it is not. I recently spent a day in Los Vegas, Nevada watching people gamble. The looks on the players' faces were that of loss, and I’m sure you can imagine why. If you attempt to invest your resources with “Lady Luck,” she will inevitably leave and forsake you. On the other hand, when you invest through godly giving in Christ, He will never leave you nor forsake you.Gamblers end up being pressed down, shaken together, and end up being run over. Godly givers receive a good measure, which is pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Learn to be a giver of your income and resources, not a gambler. Test God, not “Lady Luck.” You will find that giving is a wise investment.
