Title

The Crowds Do Not Know

Scripture
And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them saying, “Who do the crowds say that I am.”
(Luke 9:18)
Devotional
The more alone time you spend in prayer, the better you will get to know the Creator of the universe The Bible will become more clear, and Christ will become more evident. Jesus did not ask the crowds who they thought that He was, He asked those who had spent time with Him. The crowds do not know the character and person of Christ. They may know about Him, but they do not know Him. When the disciples began to tell Him who the crowds thought that He was, Peter, could not stand it any longer and proclaimed, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” How did Peter know? The answer is evident, he had spent time with Jesus, and the Father had revealed it to him. Do not get your information from the crowds; get it from the Lord. And since the crowds do not know, tell them.
