Title

The Measure Of Integrity

Scripture
The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
(Proverbs 11:3)
Devotional
The integrity of the upright is the integrity of Christ. It is the steadfast adherence to the way and will of God as found in His Word and by the leading of His Spirit. It is not a legal matter, but one of grace through faith. Therefore, as believers, we either walk in His integrity or we are unfaithful. This is perversity. It is all His goodness, not mine. It is even the faith that He has given me, not the faith I have devised on my own. I must realize that it is always Christ in me that gives me this integrity, not my well-doing or my piousness. The moral code by which we are to walk must always be a faith walk. It cannot be merely a keeping of a set of rules and regulations. "For by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified."[1] The integrity of Christ is simply "Yes" and "Amen."
