Title

Making A Point Or Winning

Scripture
A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.
(Proverbs 15:1)
Devotional
The ability to remain calm and in control is the fruit of meekness. Meekness is simply defined as strength under control. It is the ability to control your emotions instead of your emotions controlling you. Yes, there can be anger, fear, or even excitement. However, these must be governed. You cannot allow them to reign. Meekness is not weakness. It is the epitome of strength. It says, “I am angry, yet I will not be directed by anger.” “I am fearful, but I will not be motivated by fear.” “I am excited, however, I will not be enticed by excitement.” If I fail to harness my emotions, I will be ruled by them. If I am ruled by them, all of my dealings with others will be based on anger, fear, or excitement. These emotions are good for leaders to posses; however, leaders are not to be possessed by them.
