Title

I Don’t Want Rocks Praising God For Me

Scripture
The Pharisees called… from the crowd “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” But He answered… “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would cry out.”
(Luke 19:39 & 40)
Devotional
The rulers and duped of this world call from the crowds, “Keep God out of our society-keep quiet.” To which many believers passively reply, OK. Listen believer, If you don’t praise Him, the rocks and trees will. I don’t know about you, but I do not want any rocks and trees praising God for me. There are three groups of people reflected in our text: the Pharisees, the crowds, and the disciples. Of the three only one proclaimed Him, His disciples. Which are you? Are you a Pharisee-a religious gas bag filled with pride? Are you just part of the crowd-faceless, and gutless? Or, are you one of His disciples, who will not allow any rocks praising God for you? Listen, there will be a day when every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Why not make that day today?
