The Busybody

Scripture
Let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people's matters.
(1 Peter 4:15)

Note the company of which this text speaks. By man's standards we would seldom place a meddler in the same company with thieves and murderers. Nevertheless, God does. Therefore let us take heed to the severity by which God considers busybodies. We are clearly directed, "to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business."[29] We are further warned, "At the same time they also learn to be idle, as they go around from house to house; and not merely idle, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things not proper to mention."[30] A busybody is simply a faultfinder
