Title

Follow The Leader

Scripture
Therefore I urge you, imitate me.
(1 Corinthians 4:16)
Devotional
The apostle Paul was able to tell the Corinthian church to imitate him because he was imitating Christ. The things that Paul saw Christ do he did. Therefore he could say “Imitate me.” Here are two important questions: Can you say to others, “Imitate me?”, And is there someone in your life that you are attempting to emulate? Before you can expect anyone to follow you to this degree, you must follow someone to at least the same degree. Find someone who you know is following someone. Find a person who you know is doing their level best to follow Jesus Christ. Find a friend who is a friend to Him who sticks closer than a brother. If there is a person who has achieved your dreams and goals, follow that person. Do not follow blindly. Follow honestly, follow respectfully, and above all follow teachably. Whether following or leading, do so humbly.
