You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. (Psalm 77:20)
God always leads with leaders. Whenever God chose to lead His people, He did so with people. He could have sent angels, but He chose ordinary people with extraordinary faith. This has been His way throughout history and His way has not changed.
Consider the leaders God has picked: Moses, who was slow of speech, David the shepherd, and youngest of seven brothers, Peter, a hot-tempered fisherman, and even people like you. Yes! God has chosen you to lead. He first and foremost wants you to lead a life worthy of His calling. He wants you to lead others to a saving knowledge of His Son. And, He wants you to rise to a lifestyle of leadership with regard to whatever He has called you to do.
Now, there is one thing that all great leaders have in common: they are all great followers. Just consider Moses, the humblest man who ever lived, David, a man after God’s own heart, and Peter, the great lion of God. All were followers before they became leaders.
