Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? “To you, O men, I call . . . O you simple ones, understand prudence, and you fools, be of an understanding heart.” (Proverbs 8:1-5)
Are you rejecting the cries of wisdom or avoiding the voice of understanding? “Where “, you ask, “where can I hear them?” Here is where you may hear them speaking: in countless churches throughout the world. There are people ordained by God to deliver His Word to you. God has a message just for you; all you have to do is receive it. Your local New Testament Church is God’s post office, and the pastor of that church is God’s mailman. There is a first class special delivery waiting just for you and the postage has been paid. I promise, if you go expecting to receive, you will. However, if you go with an attitude of skepticism and disbelief you will get what you expect. I have inevitably found that when the student is ready, the teacher will come. Wisdom is crying out at your church. Understanding is raising its voice. Won’t you take a front row seat and listen with all your heart?
