Title

Shout To the Lord

Scripture
They cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.
(Psalm 107:6)
Devotional
I have found that my personal prayer life is in direct proportion to the troubles I have. The more troubles I have the more prayer I need. I am not justifying this; it is just a fact about my life. Troubles have a way of drawing us closer to the Lord. Therefore when troubles come, cry out to the Lord. Talk to Him. Tell Him exactly how you feel. Let Him know precisely what you want. Even if you know that what you want is wrong for your life, be open an honest. He is a merciful God, and He will deliver you out of your sinful desires. God can never condone willful sin. Nevertheless, He will reveal to you a more excellent way. When you find yourself worried and unable to sleep, pray. Spend time weeping on Christ’s shoulder. Lift up your voice to Him. If necessary, shout. God wants you to get His attention. In so doing He will get yours. In your trouble cry out to Him. He will deliver you.
