Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. (Hebrews 9:12)
There is only one sacrifice for sin, the blood of the sinless one, Jesus Christ the righteous. The blood of the Old Testament sacrifices could only cover sin, but they could not cleans the sinner of the sin. All sin requires a blood sacrifice, "Without [the] shedding of blood there is no remission." There is only one way for you and me to get into the Most Holy Place, that is, into the presence of God, and that is through the blood of the sacrificial Lamb of God. Here we have the purpose of the cross of Calvary. This place of suffering and shame brought redemption. The blood of bulls and goats could not save the lost. The atonement that they brought could only hide the sin. "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins." The blood of Christ on the other hand completely delivers from sin. There is truly power in the blood.
