Wisdom Says

Scripture
Turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.
(Proverbs 1:23)
Devotional
Wisdom rebukes us by revealing God’s law. The apostle Paul instructs us in Romans 7:7, “I would not have known sin except through the law.” He therefore says, “...the law is holy, just and good.”(1) Herein is the purpose of the law: to reveal our sins. Wisdom rebukes us through the law of God. It instructs us to turn, and empowers us to do so by the pouring out of the Holy Spirit. In this wisdom we see the grace of God, which is God granting us the ability to be conformed to the image of His Son. Wisdom guides us by the law of God, that we might be transformed into the express image of Christ. Wisdom, by the law, turns us from a way that leads to death to the way that leads to life, Christ. The “Word” of Christ keeps us on the right path. This is the wisdom of God.
