There are and will be areas of our lives that God will say, "What do you think, what is your judgment?" When He does, we are to know the difference between "thus says the Lord" and "thus says us." There is a difference between an opinion and a commandment. No matter how strong the opinion, it remains an opinion. Nevertheless, the opinion of the wise is wisely observed. The apostle was clear in his opinion. I do not know about you, but I think it wise to heed his judgment. When someone shares with us wise counsel and they have themselves succeeded in what they advice, we would be wise to hear with an ear that leans toward obedience. When it comes to physical health for example, I would much rather hear the opinion of a medical doctor than my Sunday school teacher. As long as an opinion, counsel or judgment does not violate the Word of the Lord, hear it, weigh it and choose, yet without violating your conscience.Daily Reading
