Title

The Red Seas of Life

Scripture
By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.
(Hebrews 11:29)
Devotional
Here we have the great difference between faith in God and the fear of man. Faith will get us through while fear will bring torment.[26] We likewise have the difference between the fear of man and the fear of God. The children of Israel passed through the Red Sea because of their reverential fear of God. The Egyptians failed because they feared Pharaoh more than they feared God. Therefore let us ask: in whom are we placing our faith and whom do we fear? These two answers will determine our ability to successfully cross the Red Seas of our lives. What trials are you facing? What temptations do you have to overcome? Whose army is perusing you? Obediently follow the Lord your God. March through your seas of trials and temptations by faith and in the reverential fear of the Lord. If the enemy pursues you, those very seas you overcame will overpower them and they will drown in their own rebellion.
