Praise The Lord

Scripture
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens!
(Psalm 148:41309)
Devotional
Why is it that we have such a hard time doing that for which we were created? Not only is everything that has breath to praise the Lord,[41] but all of creation is to do so. Of all creation, we are the only entity that seems to struggle with offering what is due to the Creator. There is only one thing that I can think of that would hinder us from openly praising the Lord of heaven and earth, sinful pride. Some call it shyness; God calls it pride. Some make excuses, God grants us none. Why do you think that such a large portion of the gathering of the saints is given to singing praises to God? Is it for the sake of entertainment or simply enjoyment? It is OK for the praise and worship to be enjoyable and even entertaining. However, the true and real reason is that God is worthy of it and we are created to offer it, even if it has to be a sacrifice.
