Am I Really Overworked?

Scripture
Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease!
(Proverbs 23:4)
Devotional
I know several hundreds of people personally. Yet, I know of only one person who may occasionally overwork. Most-likely, this scripture does not apply to your work ethic with regard to overworking. Nevertheless, there is a strong message for all of us. Riches are not a bad thing. To acquire them honestly, one must diligently work. Therefore, working for riches is the only legitimate way to acquire them. All riches come through the work of somebody. We are commanded to work, “Six days you shall labor and do all your work.” Remember, work is good. God calls the things that He does work. Here is the key, work hard for six days, “But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work.” Therefore, work hard; just do not overwork by not setting aside one day in seven for the Lord. If you do, cease!
