How To Deal With Sin
Scripture
I wrote to you… not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with… people of this world… since then you would need to out of the world.(1 Corinthians 5:9 & 10)
Devotional
We are to deal with sin in the church. We are to deal with the sinner in the world. When a brother of sister in Christ sins, their sin is to be confronted in love and corrected. We can not condone sin in the Body of Christ. Those who sin are to be ministered to and corrected. Those outside the body of Christ are to we won, not rebuked. Therefore we who are mature in Christ are to befriend the world. We are not to be stained by it, not influenced by it, but we are to be in the it. Remember Jesus was called, “A Friend of sinners.” How can we win them if we do not know them? How can we reach them from a distance? We work with them, live next to them, and are related to them. Jesus loves them, and if they are good enough for Jesus, they ought to be good enough for us.Daily Reading
