Tapping Into God’s Supply

Scripture
And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:19)
Devotional
There is no shortage in God’s creation. He has supplied everything needed by man for his prosperity and well-being. All we have to do is tap into that supply. Paul’s promise to the Philippian church was based on their willingness to give. He called their giving “An acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.” This is the key to having all of our needs met: obedient and cheerful giving. It begins with the tithe. The tithe is quite simply that which belongs to God. It is to be one-tenth of our increase. We are also called to give offerings. Offerings are given by choice out of our excess. As God prospers us we are to willingly give to those in need. Then there is sacrificial giving. It requires a change in lifestyle. Sacrificial giving comes from our standard of living expenses. It is in these types of giving that God supplies all of our needs.
