For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?(Matthew 16:26)
Devotional
To live this life without Christ is total loss. It does not matter if you gain the fame, power and riches of the whole world if you are without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, to have Christ in your life and to live as if you do not is likewise profitless. We cannot ignore Christ and expect to win a crown of glory. We cannot live our lives and forget His benefits and hope to experience His joy and peace. We cannot strive for all the world’s gusto and neglect his favor and think that our lives will be free from bitterness and strife. God will not be mocked. There is no profit in a life void of Christ. However, if all that we do is done to the glory of God, we will greatly profit. If we truly put Christ first in all our endeavors, He will be with you in those endeavors. There simply is no profit in this life without Christ.Daily Reading
