Devotional
This was to be God’s primary message to the children of Israel. They were to be a holy people. The message remains the same today. We are likewise to be a holy people. Holiness is not self-righteousness. It is not religion. Holiness is having a right relationship with the Creator of the universe. We are to realize that our holiness is based on the holiness of the Son of God. He alone has made us holy. We in ourselves are powerless to obtain the level of holiness required by the Lord our God. Christ in us is the only hope of glory we have. Living a life surrendered to Him is our condition for holiness. Because of His love for us and our love for Him we are to hunger for it. Holiness is to be the deepest desire of our hearts because it is God’s deepest desire for us. Holiness to the Lord is to be the golden emblem written on our hearts, minds and souls.Daily Reading
