Devotional
No one ever said that marriage would be easy. Nevertheless, God said that it is to be for life. Your marriage is no exception. Your problems are such as is common to man. It may take two to tango, but one willing spouse can make a marriage work. It is a matter of doing your part and relinquishing your mate to the Lord. The Bible is clear, “Husbands, love your wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for her.” Gentlemen, this is your part. Ladies, God instructs, “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.” This is not a matter of trusting your spouse; it is a matter of trusting your God. Husbands, you are to focus on your part. It matters not an iota if your wife does her part. Ladies likewise, focus on your responsibility, not your husbands. Furthermore, do not deal with the hypothetical, deal with reality. You and God can work it out.Daily Reading
